Tecsint PSOM
Greater Uniformity
Less vein effect
TECSINT PSOM can be used in the same way as TECSINT PSO at the end of pickling, producing the same results, although it slightly lightens the wet-blue shade.
During the greening phase of the wet-blue, its effect increases, so much so that if you have problems with dry creases caused by dry or old wet-blue with the TECSINT PSOM it is possible to improve their laying by preventing their wrinkling on crust leather.
The best performances are achieved during the chrome retanning process before adding chromium or synthetic chromium.
During this phase, there is a greater fixation of chromium on the leather resulting in the exhaustion of the tanning baths and significantly lower concentrations of chromium in the baths; we obtain fuller and better stretched hide and, finally, when the leather is finished veins are less noticeable.<br>The products used in the following stages, such as resins, retanning agents, fatliquors and dyes, will be more similar to the leather fibres enabling to use a lower quantity of products, while obtaining a better exhaustion of the tanning baths and more uniform leather both in terms of firmness and in the dye, which will be particularly clean, smooth and bright.
TECSINT PSOM it can also be used as a dispersant in the synthetic or vegetable retanning phase; the addition of a percentage of 2% to 5% after deacidification helps the distribution of the retanning agents, prevents overloading of the grain and, at the time of fixing, helps the exhaustion of the baths.
Used during the fattening phase, in addition to having a dispersing and penetrating action towards the fattening, it has a filling action like a filler, favoring the filling of the hips.
