Tecsint VRX

TECSINT VRX is best suited for vegetable or semi-vegetable retanning, delivering excellent results on finished articles.

It can be used under the same conditions as TECSINT VRP but offers different characteristics, as it performs best when applied to chrome-tanned leathers that have been predominantly retanned with vegetable extracts.

TECSINT VRX can be combined with natural vegetable tannins, enhancing their exhaustion and dispersion, contributing to a pure vegetable effect with a very fine, smooth, and reactive grain without compromising fullness.

Another key application of TECSINT VRX is in all crust retanning processes. When used at a dosage of 3% to 5% at the end of neutralization or in a fresh bath before fatliquoring, it ensures excellent grain closure and great buffability without dye degradation. It can also be applied to the dyeing of suede crusts processed in two steps, acting as a leveling agent when added before the dye and drummed for about ten minutes.

TECSINT VRX results in leathers that are easy to finish, as it does not hinder absorption. Various tests conducted on different types of hides have shown that using this retanning agent together with other polymers from the VR line can, in some specific cases, lead to an increase in surface area of up to 15%, or at the very least, prevent any reduction after trimming or drumming phases.
